Service Description
Our power sports nutrition program is one of our signature programs for adolescent and collegiate athletes. It was developed by elite performance professionals to bring sound scientific sports nutrition information directly to patients. The program consists of one hour sessions for 4 consecutive weeks. During the sessions we cover the following topics: 1. Growth chart assessment to determine historic growth patterns and personal weight and height POWERzone 2. Energy, macronutrient, and micronutrient needs unique for each athlete and sport 3. Creation of a personal supportive meal plan 4. Pre-event, during event , and post-event/recovery sports nutrition recommendations personalized for each athlete 5. Topics of interest including: fatigue/lactic acid , muscle cramping , supplements, vegetarian nutrition tips, bone health, and nutrition for supportive mental health issues including stress
